Booking what you need

Gowns and mortarboards

The Graduate ticket price includes gown, hood and mortarboard hire. All you need to know is your height and head circumference, and we’ll sort the rest!

Guest and children’s tickets

Tickets for the ceremony are free. Due to space restrictions, we request that you initially book only three guest tickets (including children).

If we’re able to accommodate more guests we will allocate spaces by ballot, and we will inform you by email if your request has been successful by the end of May.

Hog roast tickets (optional)

We’d love you and your family to join us after the more formal proceedings for what’s become somewhat of a Union tradition!

Please include yourself in the number of adult hog roast tickets you book, add children’s tickets, and indicate if anyone in your party has dietary requirements in the additional information sections on the second page of the hog roast booking form.

Accommodation (optional)

If you’d like to stay overnight before or after your graduation, you can submit a booking for campus accommodation by completing the form here https://www.ust.ac.uk/students/accommodation – just tick the ‘Other’ box in the ‘Type of accommodation’ section and fill in your details, and we’ll send you a separate invoice. Alternative accommodation is available in the local area too, some within walking distance of campus, and of course there’s always AirBnB!
