Quality Assurance

In April 2018 Union School of Theology Union School of Theology underwent a Higher Education Review (Alternative Providers) conducted by a panel of external academics from the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA).

We are delighted to report that the judgements of the review team about UST’s provision in the four areas of review were –

  • The maintenance of the academic standards of awards offered on behalf of degree-awarding bodies meets UK expectations.

  • The quality of student learning opportunities meets UK expectations.

  • The quality of the information about learning opportunities meets UK expectations.

  • The enhancement of student learning opportunities meets UK expectations.

The QAA review team also commended as good practice the comprehensive framework that supports Learning Communities and enriches the experience of distance learners.

The report can be viewed on the QAA website, and here

We are greatly encouraged by this affirmation from the QAA of the quality of the standards and learning opportunities provided by UST.

Union School of Theology has produced an action plan in response to the report, and this can be found here.
