Through our approved Learning Communities, Union aims to serve the Church by providing an affordable, flexible, accessible option for formal theological education. Our state-of-the-art online platform makes this possible as never before, and with excellent mentors and local tutors provides an enhanced way of learning in the context of the local church.
Learning Community Details

This Learning Community delivers both the GDip and the MTh.
GDip in-person: students at this Learning Community study the GDip over 2 years (3 modules in each year). They meet weekly on Wednesday mornings.

MTh in-person: students at this Learning Community study the MTh over 3 years - six pre-allocated taught courses over two years, with an additional year to submit their dissertation.
Students join their Learning Community’s intensive sessions in-person. It is up to students how they spread their remaining study time outside of these sessions. Essays are due 7 weeks after the essay title is given.
Students may substitute one module per year for an intensive campus-based module, attended in person at our Ministry Centre in South Wales, or 3 weeks of Biblical Languages in person or via Zoom.
