Dr. Clive Bowsher appointed UST Provost

I am thrilled to announce the appointment of Dr. Clive Bowsher as the next Provost of Union School of Theology.

Clive is presently Minister of Abbey Baptist Church in Abingdon, Oxfordshire. He brings to the School extensive academic experience, having held lectureship, senior research and prize research fellowship positions at the Universities of Bristol, Edinburgh, Cambridge, and Oxford.

He has held pastoral positions at two churches and co-mentored Union’s GDip Learning Community in Oxford. His forthcoming book, Life in the Son: Johannine Union, Oneness and Participation with Christ, is part of IVP’s New Studies in Biblical Theology series, edited by D. A. Carson. He holds doctorates from the Universities of Cambridge and Oxford.

Clive will take up the post in January 2022, moving with his wife, Kerstin, and son, Alasdair, to join UST’s faculty and staff on our Wales campus. We look forward to welcoming the Bowshers and to serving Christ and his church together.
