New lecturer in Hebrew and OT

We are pleased to announce that Stephen Moore will be joining the Union campus faculty from this May as Lecturer in Hebrew and Old Testament.

Stephen practiced as a solicitor before entering local church ministry. He has since specialised in Assyriology, completing his PhD in the field at Universiteit Leiden in the Netherlands, and publishing in a number of journals. He is married to Zoë, and together they have five children.

Michael Reeves, Union’s President and Professor of Theology, writes, “I’m thrilled to welcome Stephen to our growing faculty. He has a superb ability to encourage pastors in God’s word and to give them confidence and ability to handle it in the original languages. I am very excited to see how those gifts will be used to strengthen our students and the churches they go on to pastor.”

Stephen Moore says “I greatly look forward to taking up the role and helping to build on Union’s high standards for training in biblical languages and philology.”

Stephen will be based at our South Wales campus and will be teaching students on courses across all our locations.

Union offers theology degrees from BA to PhD to those preparing for ministry, planting churches, or considering mission work. All are warmly invited to our campus open day on Tuesday 24th March 2020. More details are available here.
