Union offers two scholarships for women with the new Phoebe Scholarships

We’re delighted to offer two half-scholarships for women to study on our MTh programme, on campus or in a Learning Community, starting in August/September 2023.

Phoebe was a woman commended for her outstanding service to the church, and Paul urged the church to support her (Romans 16:1-2). At Union School of Theology we recognise that many women desire to serve the church and are keen to study theology, but are often hindered by the financial cost. Therefore, we are thrilled to offer these scholarships to equip women to be a blessing to Christ’s church.

The Phoebe Scholarships are for women who are:

  • Able to demonstrate a deep personal commitment to theological study

  • Working towards a clear goal in Christian ministry (such as a pastoral care role in a church, cross-cultural mission, working with a Christian agency, teaching, writing, taking first steps to theological research, etc)

  • Recommended by a supporting church or Christian ministry (such as cross-cultural mission, Christian agency)

  • Able to raise the rest of the financial support required (we can offer advice on how to go about this)

Further information, including information about how to apply for the scholarship can be found on our Fees and Funding page:
