Study the MTh locally by joining our Learning Community in Westminster
Through our approved Learning Communities, Union aims to serve the Church by providing an affordable, flexible, accessible option for formal theological education. Our state-of-the-art online platform makes this possible as never before, and with excellent mentors and local tutors provides an enhanced way of learning in the context of the local church.
This Learning Community is hosted by Westminster Chapel and meets for selected intensive teaching weeks throughout the academic year - see below.
The Lead Mentor is Tim Blaber.
What can you study here?
In-person MTh – Westminster Chapel: students at this Learning Community study the MTh over 4 years - six pre-allocated taught modules over three years (2 intensive fortnights per year: September & March), with an additional year to submit their dissertation. It is up to students how they spread their remaining study time. Essays for each module are due 7 weeks after the essay title is given.
This MTh group currently runs on the following schedule:
September 2024: Scripture & Hermeneutics
March 2025: Soteriology of the Reformation
September 2025: Theology of the Early Church Fathers
March 2026: Spiritual Formation of the Leader
September 2026: Preaching & Preachers
March 2027: Union with Christ
