Prepare for ministry and mission

At the heart of Learning Communities is the belief that theology and ministry go hand-in-hand. In a Learning Community you are:

  • taught by Union’s faculty

  • led and guided through the course by a pastorally experienced mentor

  • always learning with others

  • able to continue serving in your home church

Study theology in community

Online Learning Communities blend the flexibility of online learning with the benefits of studying together in community. Students regularly meet with a mentor and a group of others to discuss the content, apply it in their own context, and receive guidance in their studies.

Affordable and accessible

Without the costs associated with residential seminary, online Learning Communities make studying theology highly affordable and accessible.

"Since being accepted to study at Union I haven’t been disappointed. The lecturers have led each class in their own unique way, laying their expertise on the table for us students to pick away at. But they have also allowed us to develop our own thoughts in interacting with the voices of the past. Their guidance and patience have been invaluable.”
